Principles behind the Agile Manifesto

We follow these principles:

Our highest priority is to satisfy the customer
through early and continuous delivery
of valuable software.

Welcome changing requirements, even late in
development. Agile processes harness change for
the customer’s competitive advantage.

Deliver working software frequently, from a
couple of weeks to a couple of months, with a
preference to the shorter timescale.

Business people and developers must work
together daily throughout the project.

Build projects around motivated individuals.
Give them the environment and support they need,
and trust them to get the job done.

The most efficient and effective method of
conveying information to and within a development
team is face-to-face conversation.

Working software is the primary measure of progress.

Agile processes promote sustainable development.
The sponsors, developers, and users should be able
to maintain a constant pace indefinitely.

Continuous attention to technical excellence
and good design enhances agility.

Simplicity–the art of maximizing the amount
of work not done–is essential.

The best architectures, requirements, and designs
emerge from self-organizing teams.

At regular intervals, the team reflects on how
to become more effective, then tunes and adjusts
its behavior accordingly.

A fussy frond end (FFE)

I read this job advert from LEGO around their need for innovation. This made me think more about my background and the work processes that is used within the arts. The process that we/I have used is FFE or as academia calls it “Fuzzy Front End”. I find this model interesting and combined with structure ,). Well we art people we are structured when it comes to creating new material even though it mitt look chaotic.

A traditional way of handling ideas and to commercialize the idea is very linear and straight forward (New Product Development (NPD)). Well the world does not look like this… However Im a keen beliver in the context driven school and do believe that every situation needs its own set of tools and processes.

From chaos to order

My background as an artist forces me to look upon ideas and problems from a chefs perspective, namely you have these ingredients and you have the wok pan. The ingredients are constraints and the wok is the platform. How can I combine these ingredients to fit my dinner.

N’curv

Hi

One of my many things… is that I can not stop my self in getting involved in ideas and talent! And my shop N’curv is the result of one of this coincidences… I met Manabu Kaminaga an extremely talented cutter and artist. You can see his and others designs at N’curv He is one of these rare people that can see art in everything. I have always missed a pair of training trousers, he made them Abukuma. We talked about pouches and he made Tokyo wan. He has other ideas to look out for bags, accessories for men and other stuff.
